Would you mind sharing the processed "twin" image you are refering to here? Without the image to look at, it is hard to tell just what you're talking about.

: For anyone that may be interested, There is a free image processor available that can take wheel drawings apart. It is from the National Institute of Health, and it is called ImageJ. It is an MRI image processor used by physicians to manipulate MRI data.
: It takes about 30 min to download as a zip file, and it has about a gazillion free plugins you can add. On the dark "twin" drawing, it was able to pull the "eye" above the suspected hanging weight out of the gloom and reveal the pivot pin holding it.
