Hello Michael,
Thanks for the questions;
: Really? Not really. I'd like to see all of these designs on paper, and ones that have been tried. Where are they?
If you make an in-depth study (or even superficial study for that matter) on the history of perpetual motion, you will quickly come across the efforts of others; especially along the theme/design of over-balanced wheels. Please see the link below as a good reference/starting point.
: Patrick may I ask by what method you are performing all of these experiments? I ask because you seem to be fairly new here and I know that even to perform a simple experiment takes a bit of time.
I have a very modest set-up. I am basically using two 36” corrugated plastic disks, a wooden base and various wooden weights. I have a number of interchangeable axle designs and the weights I am using can be manipulated/re-assembled in different ways. I am fortunate to have access to a well stocked ‘workshop’. I have just placed an order for an ‘experimentation wheel’ from a local carpenter and am excited that this will give me an added motivational ‘boost’.
